She can offer you advice on your rights and obligations if you wish to acquire property, enter into business ventures, or are thinking of getting married or divorced.  Claudette advocates that the law should be simple and accessible; that many legal issues can be avoided through clear and simple language, and better communication between parties; and that costly and lengthy legal disputes can be avoided through proper mediation.

 

Claudette Dela Cerna graduated from the University of the Philippines College of Law and was admitted to the Philippine Bar in 2006. She has been a practicing lawyer since then. Her practice mostly involves issues on banking, general corporation law, family law, administrative processes, and general court litigation. She has handled matters for major corporations in the Philippines and was involved with the defense of Former Philippine President Gloria Arroyo in her cases before the Sandiganbayan and the Supreme Court.

 

She taught Insurance Law and Special Proceedings at the University of the Philippines College of Law, and Commercial Law Review, Insurance Law, and Special Proceedings at the Lyceum Philippines University College of Law.

 

Since her admission to the New York Bar, Claudette Delacerna has brought her long legal experience to her clients in the United States.
